A prediction market. Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated prediction-market exchange, federally designated as a contract market rather than state-licensed.

Contracts on stated outcomes trade peer to peer between 1¢ and 99¢ and settle at $1.00 if the outcome occurs; the price you trade at is set by other participants, not by a house.

On fees: Kalshi states a fee of 2% and charges it in the price, so the payouts we show for Kalshi already have it deducted. Across the 13 platforms we cover, we compute the full cost of a bet the same way here.
